John, an avid angler for sixty years, is a widely published author: North Island Trout Fishing Guide, New Zealand's Top Trout Fishing Waters (with Patti Magnano Madsen), South Island Trout Fishing Guide, Up the Creek with John Kent: Stories from New Zealand's Great Outdoors and Classic Fly Fishing in New Zealand Rivers (with David Hallett). He lives in Christchurch. David Hallett is official photographer for The Press newspaper. His publications include Moods of New Zealand Fly Fishing, Classic Fly Fishing in New Zealand Rivers and Fiordland: New Zealand's Untouched Wilderness (with Yvonne Martin). He lives in Christchurch.
